I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round contest which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

Briton Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "break" the American as the two fighters came face-to-face to promote next month's boxing match.

Ex two time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's venue on 19 December.

Fighter's Mindset

"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a calm Joshua and internet personality Paul - usually recognized for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua's rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he stated.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Attraction

However, the relative newcomer is still one of the sport's largest financial successes, consistently making huge paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in rounds four or five and stated he would stop the long-awaited Fury-Joshua bout, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference on show, it drove home just how unlikely this whole event is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually happening.
